The Bridge Youth Ministry exists to EXPOSE youth to God's love, to CONNECT them with other Christians, to help them GROW in their faith, and challenge the growing to SERVE and HONOR God with their lives.

 Our purpose statement is designed to help our youth, parents and adult volunteers understand how we aim to create a healthy, Biblical youth ministry. The purpose statement was created from two very imporant scriptures found in the Bible:

The Great Commandment - Matthew 22:37-40 - Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as your self.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

The Great Commission - Matthew 28:18-20 - Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth ahs been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything i have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always,to the very end of the age." 

With in these two scriptures we find five Biblica purposes, five things we as confessing believers in Christ should be doing with our lives. These five purposes for living is what makes up our purpose statement. We believe that in order to be a healthy growing Christian that one must have elements of all five purposes in their lives. We define these purposes using five words: EXPOSE, CONNECT, GROW, SERVE & HONOR. These understand these words to mean the following:

EXPOSE - "Therefore go and make disciples" = Evangilism - We as a believer in Christ are called to go out and spread the Good News of  Jesus Christ, to EXPOSE people to the wonders of a relationship with Jesus.

CONNECT - "baptizing them" = Fellowship - Once someone has come to know Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, it is important that they be CONNECTED to a body of believers, baptizim is a sympol of being CONNECTED to a body of believers.

GROW - "teaching them to obey" = Discipleship - When a person has been connected to a body of believers, it's important for that person to begin to learn how to GROW their faith through relationships, Bible study and personal time with God.

SERVE - "Love your neighbor as yourself" = Ministry - We are called to love one another and take care of each other when needed, this is SERVE. We SERVE our neighbors by providing for their needs, physcical, spiritual and emotional.

HONOR - "Love the Lord your God" = Worship - Our whole exsistance in life is to HONOR God, and we HONOR God best by living a life that shows love. Our whole life, every action, thought and deed can be HONORING to God.
