My Role - "Lead Strong, Love Stronger"

When an adult serves with the Bridge Youth Ministry the role they play is very important. The role of an adult in our minsitry is to be a stong leader by understanding why our youth ministry exists and show stronger love by understaning the motive behind why our youth ministry exists. Its sounds complicated at first, but it's really very simple, we ask every adult to "Lead Strong, Love Stronger". The following will explain this role in a bit more detail:

Lead Strong (mission) - an adult leads strong by understanding the mission statement of the youth ministry, knowing why our youth ministry exists and knowing your role with in our ministry.

The BridgeYM Mission in a Nut Shell - share the gospel and make disciples of Jesus Christ

Love Stronger (motive) - an adult loves stronger by understanding why we chose to fullfil our ministries mission statement in the first place. Why do we share the gospel and make disciples?

The BridgeYM Motive in a Nut Shell - we love God and love people because Christ first loved us

The adults who serve in our youth ministry all do so because they have a personal relationship with our God through Jesus Christ. It is because of that personal relationship, the love they feel from God, that they choose to share the gospel and make disciples of Jesus Christ with young people. If you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and want to share that relationship with young people then you have what it takes to serve with the Bridge YM. If you do choose to serve with the BridgeYM there are two levels of comitment you can pick from. The next section explains those in more detail, please read on.

Two ways to serve: Youth Leader or Youth Volunteer

There are two ways an adult can serve in our youth ministry. One is by becoming a Youth Leader. We define a Youth Leader as someone who is willing to be put in charge of a group of youth or who wants to personally interact with youth for any amount of time. A Youth Volutneer is defined as someone who would like to assit the youth ministry but doesn't feel comfortable leading youth or interacting with them directly. It doesn't matter which way of serving with the BridgeYM you choose, either way is a blessing to the youth and the ministry. Below are some examples of practical ways you could serve either as a Youth Leader or Youth Volunteer
